Human evolution is one of the most fascinating topics for high school and college students. One danger is that in quick overviews, a linear view of the process of evolution is often suggested. This, however, contradicts the facts, which show a much more complex reality. This set of teaching materials illustrates in a vivid and economical way the complexity and patterns of human-becoming as revealed in fossil skulls. It includes drawings of 30 representative hominid skulls with essential information about the chosen fossils and associated artifacts and is designed to facilitate an inquiry-based, hands-on learning experience for students.
