A military march or a dance?

“PROTEIN–DNA BINDING IS STILL COMMONLY THOUGHT OF purely in terms of codes and sequence motifs, rather than as the binding of two large macromolecules that have complex shapes and considerable conformational flexibility” (Honig and Rohs 2011)....

In reality, everything is a matter of shape and transformation...A one-dimensional code is giving way to the infinite expressive potentials of dynamic spatial form changing with time. The molecules of our cells dance their way through life rather than yielding to the militaristic rigidity of fixed codes.
