Opening the Gates of Knowledge: Beyond Modernism and Postmodernism
April 25, 27, May 2, 4, 9, and 16

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Advanced registration is required, seminar fee $90.

As part of The Nature Institute’s Goethean Science Studies, Dr. Douglas Sloan, Prof. emeritus Columbia University, will give a six-session seminar on “Opening the Gates of Knowledge: Beyond Modernism and Postmodernism.” He will discuss the evolution of consciousness with a special focus on the making of the modern scientific mind. With his breadth of knowledge, Douglas will provide insight into differing and divergent currents of modern thought. He will show how a further evolution of human consciousness beyond the controversies and predicaments of modernism and postmodernism can lead to a truly qualitative, spiritually grounded understanding of the world.
